Stonehenge is one of the greatest unexplained mysteries of the ancient world .It is estimated to be more than 5000 years old. Excavations have revealed that Stonehenge was built in four stages. It was dug around 3100 BC for religious ceremonies. Then, more than 1000 years later, huge blue stones from mountains were
pulled-up 240 miles to the Stonehenge site. It was immpossible to do this before the invention of te wheel. In 2000 BC,more stones were transported. Finally, after a furthur 500 years, peopel felt the need to rearrange the stones into horseshoe and circle we see today. But it still remains a history whether it was a temple,a burial ground or an ancient calendar?????
